O.K. so I got my engine in today and the only complaint I have with it is the CAS is busted... The plastic shell is basically shattered.. Picture a silver dollar size hole. The metal inside doesn't appear damaged, but I didn't know if this would cause a problem or not. Will this cause any problems? Also, if it does need changed, what engines can I get one from? Thanks in advance.

you might be able to just replace the cas cover and be good. Sounds like the cover did its job, took the brunt of the hit.

You could run the motor without a cover to see if it was working, then just buy a replacement cover. I think there are clear ones out there. Frsport has an aluminum one http://www.frsport.com/Circuit....html

I believe the cas units are all the same for s13, s14, s15

As long as the internals isn't damaged it should be okay to start up. I wouldn't run it for long though as dirt/oil/water will eventually kill the cas.
