1990 240sx 100,000 miles.Just did head gasket job. Head shaved, cylinders tested. Gasket not bad, but head badly needed a shave!Checked timing chain and covers, and water jacket. Water vapor in cylinder 1. Mechanic suggested cracked block, I searched and found that the block doesn't crack too easily. Any suggestions?

Either your head/block still isn't flat enough or the headgasket is busted. What do you mean vapor in cylinder 1? Details on this.

Cylinder 1 mis-firing, and when the plug is out, there is water spray in there. ( And water particles on the plug. When pressurising, can hear it!Today we drained and flushed, then used a block sealer, car was excellent for about 50 miles, then same problem started occurring. No power, low end, eventually quitting. The car is NOT running hot at any time.

did you try once pressurized radiator, crank the motor w/ spark plug on and then remove the spark plug. then crank again and watch the coolant sprayout of the spark plug hole?

did you also do a cylinder leak down on tdc & bdc on compression? why bdc is because if you dont detect any mass leakage on tdc it might be below that. just up bdc on compression with gear on so piston does move down and watch air out on the radiator. i think thats what my teacher was talking about, i wasnt really listening. haha

the easiest way is a block tester. if there was no leakage on all cylinders head tdc.
