crack in headlights

i have an identical crack in each of of my headlights. i will post some pics tomorrow but does anyone else have this problem, the crack is on the silver part of the lights.

It is weird as you said they identical. I have no idea how it is possible. do you have warranty on your car? It worth to take it in and ask if they try to snowball you just ask them how come both of them same.

I have heard of this before on another popular G forum. Some blame using the "fog" lights all the time for causing excess heat. I think it's just a design flaw... Hopefully you have warranty remaining - they are hella-expensive if you have to pay for them yourself. Over $1k each I think.

I had the same deal, they were replaced under warranty.

Check with your dealer.

Mine was on the "ridged" part of the silver housing, directly in front of the lamp.

same here. I went to the dealer today and they had to order the headlight but it was covered under warranty. they said if i had to pay it would be $800 each

I guess problem solved it is under warranty. Good.

this happens to ALOT of coupes...it cracks on the inside on the chrome part. manfactureres defect
