I have got a 3 month subscription to the CR car buying guide that gives you a true bottom line figure to negotiate from when dealing with the dealers on a new car. This report calculates all the kick backs, etc. so you know exactly what the dealer cost is before you start to negotiate. I am offering anybody to hit me up for research on a specific vehicle only if they are "dead" serious in buying it as I don't have time to run reports for every tire kicker out there.

Btw...here are some interesting bottom line figures which include all manufacturer to dealer kick-backs and holdbacks but exclude any options or incentives to consumers to make things easier on me doing this list to give ya a very close idea of what the dealer pays after he gets all his kick backs, etc. The listed figures are the consumer reports bottom line pricing from where you should begin your negotiations and exclude any incentives to the buyer (consumer) of the vehicle so it is just the true dealer cost. A holdback is generally a specified percentage of the MSRP that is refunded to the dealer either quarterly or year-end on each vehicle sold.

M35 $36,989M35 AWD $39,209M35 Sport $39,476(Dealer holdback is about $1,200 on each model above)

M45 $42,594M45 Sport $46,498(Dealer holdback is about $1,350 on each model above)

FX35 $34,324FX35 AWD $35,660(Dealer holdback is about $1,100 on each model above)

FX45 $44,943(Dealer holdback is about $1,400 on each model above)

G35 Sedan 6MT $28,425G35 Sedan AUTO $28,647G35 Sedan AWD $30,112(Dealer holdback is about $900 on each model above)

G35 Coupe 6MT $30,734G35 Sedan AUTO $30,201(Dealer holdback is about $950 on each model above)

Q45 $52,361(Dealer holdback is about $1,650 on each model above)

QX56 RWD $45,037QX56 AWD $47,703(Dealer holdback is about $1,450 on each model above)

And lastly but not least...my right now personal interest to replace my Q45 is the following....guess once I am in the Nissan Family I can never leave

2006 Nissan Titan LE 2WD With Big Tow and Navigation $30,116 and dealer holdback is about $594 which is a lot less percentage wise than compared to Inifiniti. This truck hauls a$$....0-60 in 7.7 and 1/4 mile in 16.0 flat....with some mods such as headers and exhaust which they do make for this truck I will easily take off another 0.5 secs on the times listed above....the Titan is one really damn fast truck with a 9,400lbs tow load and is pissing off all the Hemi guys as they are suppose to have the almighty "Hemi" power which the Titan eats them up...

Cheers....

now watch me get some legal threat stuff from CR about me publishing their figures...Ugghh!!!

Rob,I think the Titan would do much better than that. I remember reading a road test article on Car and Driver for the Armada.

From CarandDriver.com:

Nissan Pathfinder Armada LE C/D TEST RESULTS

ACCELERATION (Seconds)Zero to 30 mph: 2.340 mph: 3.650 mph: 5.260 mph: 7.070 mph: 9.580 mph: 12.490 mph: 15.8100 mph: 21.3110 mph: 29.5Street start, 5-60 mph: 7.2Top-gear acceleration, 30-50 mph: 3.750-70 mph: 5.1Standing 1/4-mile: 15.5 sec @ 89 mphTop speed (governor limited): 112 mph I think the Titan atleast would do the same numbers.

hey rob,,,,,,,as i've said in other posts, there is NO excuse for ANYONE to be taken on a new car purchase. as easy as it was for you to get this info,,,,anyone can. when trying to get the best deal on a new car,,,,ALWAYS start with with the bottom number-----invoice - hold back and go from there. Never go from sticker price and work down!!!!!!

I think alot of the performance variance has to do with whats the ignition timing set at from the factory. I been doing timing advance "mods" on 00+ Nissans for a while using a Consult II and I have noticed some cars come with severely retarded timing from the factory. My 00 Altima we have is supposed to be set at 20 deg BTDC from what I remember and it was set at 14 deg from the factory ! I bumped the timing to 22 deg and the car literally feels like it gained 15WHP minimum and takes off from the light with authority.

Titan is a nice truck, but that Dana rear end is garbage, there have been quite a few diff failures reported on those trucks. Friend of mine- Nissan Shop Foreman, and Nissan master tech for 20+ years told me that they once had a Titan that got the wrong transmission/rear end ratio installed in it for some weird reason. The gear ratios where different and the truck was a monster, it would run head to head with a 3.5L Altima- which is not a slow sedan by any means. Visit Titantalk.com and you will see that there are plenty of 14 second Titans on there, and that Nissan actually underrated the engine according to some of the dynocharts.

http://videos.streetfire.net/v...1.htm check out the video, some people think that it wasn't fair... regardless of what they think both trucks where 2WD, and Ford would never stand a chance.
