coverting to xenon headlights

I have a set of 2006 xenon headlights from a m45 .I would like to install them on my 2007 m35x . I have the plugs for the lights, however I need some help. I was told that I have to remove the dashboard in order to install a unit that controlls the lights. I 'm trying to stay away from that what can I do? How can I make the change without removing the dashboard?

I am pretty sure that you need to replace more than just the lights ... some of the controllers and relays also need to change. I think you will need to do a fair amount of work for this change ...

But, I am not certain of my facts here, and maybe somebody has done this and can help you out. If so, great! If not, then you will have to figure this out yourself unfortunately. Please take lots of pictures and put together a How-To thread on it! Thanks!
