That interior looks classy...and very comfortable.

I'm a big fan of leather interiors myself, but the Versa was for my fiancee, and she's not too crazy about leather. I am impressed with the SL's cloth, but I'd still rather have an interior more like yours...I thought Nissan should offer factory leather. A fully loaded SL pushes the sticker price over $19k, and that's about the only option this car doesn't have (well, that and Homelink). Heck, you can even get an Aveo with leather now.

Anyway, that's definitely one-of-a-kind.

Thanks Rockhound!

A few new pics with my fog lights. I do have some pics of the installation. I think that the pics I took of the switch install could be helpful to someone who wants to put their switch there. let me know if you want them.

Got them at good ole Walmart for like $20 - I didn't use the switch that came with the lights.

Hum... One more reason to suscribe to Maxim ! More seriously, I really like the look of your fog lights. Since they seem less expensive then the eBay ones, I'll probably go with that. Do you have pictures of the installation, like the cutting of the plastic holdings and the wiring. That would be great !

Martin - There is already a complete writeup of how to install fogs in the Stickies above. It was written by Clipsed.

I think they did put my license plate bracket on crooked but I think it straightened out when I put the plate on? I need to look again.

OK as far as these great $20 walmart fog lights go, I was not impressed with the kit. BUT I really liked the lights and how they fit the car, besides no one sees the kit ecept the part that sticks out the front. BE Warned my kit didn't come with all of the wires so I had to build some and buy some ends and connectors, no big deal but if you buy this kit you will need to lengthen the wire that goes from light to light it is not long enough or build a new one. (must be for a smart car?) This wire kit is really simple and I think anyone could install it? I used a wire splice and tapped the power wire into the head light's power using the blue headlight wire(green if you want them on with brights) but my fog lights will only come on using regular beams, they turn on/off with the lights (if the switch is on)and always off when the brights are used. for other wiring help look here zerothread/226580 or message me.

I used a dremel to cut the holes, you just need something that can cut as clean and precise as possible. I think one of those roto-zip things would be great . A razor blade is not enough.

I am just going to go into a couple of things about these particular lights and how I did the interior switch. Clipsd already wrote up all the dirty work ... zerothread/226580 Thanks to Clipsd and his tutorial totally helped, especially when it comes to putting the wires through the firwall.

ok here's the spanish side of the box but the english side should look the same??

base unaltered.

base in process of being altered to fit on the side flushly (the side is flat where-as the top is rounded). I cut it with the dremel using a cutting wheel (shown in the picture) the right side in the picture is already cut, the left is partially cut to give an idea how much to cut off.

after cutting the hole. I mounted it to the side using a strip of double-sided sticky tape just to make sure it all lined up with the cover on.

Once I had the depth where I wanted it I screwed it in to the side with one of the screws provided in the kit. I predrilled the hole with a drill bit that was slightly smaller than the screw , I also drilled it at an angle so I could get the screw tightened after the light was mounted to the base. I only used one in the middle so I could tilt the base and put the bolt that holds the light to the base in place through the botttom(as shown in the pic below).

Then I put the light on the base, the arrow shows the screw.

This is what my hole looked like when I was done cutting it out. I used an angled drill bit (atleast thats what I call it?? don't know what it really is, it was on my dremel box) to cut the hole and a little rough sanding wheel to smooth out the last part and try to get it as perfect as I could. As you can see there is about half-a-dot of the last row of "dots" left in the circle, this is a tricky thing to get perfect so take your time!!! keep test fitting a lose light as you go, there just needs to be barely enough space for the light to get out and can be done leaving little or no gap if done carefully.

I didn't use the switch that came with the kit, the one I used has a threaded back (like a small plastic bolt) that you can probably get at any parts store.

OK how to get that pesky switch blank out of your dash! I tried the ole pop it out the front like I used to do on older cars... DON'T DO THAT, it won't work and you just leave marks . Ok in the pictures below I tried to show how the switch blank is built and what the tabs that hold it in look like. There is a tab on the top and bottom of the blank. the top tab goes UP and the bottom tab goes DOWN when removing the blank. I couldn't see that so I took the whole damn thing apart, which was a *****, hopefully I have spared you agony of having to do that.

Top/bottom of the blank. Arrow points to little "nub" that the tabs hold on to.The tabs that hold the blank at the top/bottom

This is what the blank looks like from the back. I drilled right down the center of the front to put the switch in..... be careful!!

Here is the finished switch after I put it in the blank

There is a little removable panel on the side of the dash that is VERY helpful for getting the blank out and in.

That interior is surprisingly beautiful - Is that factory?

I would LOVE to see that in a black car.

Better yet, my dealer left the front plate in the trunk.

That's a classy mod job COVersa, really like what you've done with it.

Althalus - Was your sunroof aftermarket? Yes

ThirstyRoss - I really like the colour of that sedan. Nice work on the fogs, too! Thank you Thank you! I love the Sanoma sunset, which was actually my second color choice, my first being Blue Onyx. Now that I've had it a little while I am actually glad I got the Sanoma sunset.

KimberKenobi - did you ever decide on that spoiler?? No havn't had time to investigate spoiler options, still think the 05 Maxima spoiler would look good, just don't know how it would fit. below are those pics I posted on that other thread.

AZhitman - Is that factory? nope my interior is aftermarket from a place in Denver called ATD

Jaesin- Thanks!

I want to install a spoiler on my sedan but they don't make one for it yet. I was thinking about trying a 2005 maxima spoiler?? it might fit and I think it would look good. Do you guys think this is a good or bad idea? The Maxima (71.7 in) is exactly 5 inches wider than the V (66.7) but from what I can tell in the pictures the trunk isn't any wider.. I made a rendition of what it might look like. Please give me your input.

yeah. :o/ both were in the trunk when I picked them up. they installed my first one (after I painted it) and got it on right. so when I traded, I asked them to move my bracket (which I repainted anyway) and jerk put it on crooked...

so 50% of the time, they put it on correctly.

I didn't see who makes your moonroof. It's pretty clean, I must say. Is the leather custom, or did the shop use a kit? Looks fantastic!

I Put a PSP in my V Hehe. I bought his kit that mounts to your seat mounting bolt and comes up on a flexable "tenticle" it is pretty sweet and so far my passangers hav't complained. Check it out and tell me what you think. Also I have an orange backgound on it so it matches at night.

-bobloblaw: I am not sure who the mfg for the roof is but I can try to figure it out. The seats are a kit and the best I've seen so far .

Very cool, although i think you could have ran that audio wire a little bit better IMHO.

Also, can you measure the width of the fig lights you bought?

About 2 1/2 inches. If I am not mistaken they are the same diameter as a pop can?

waitwait... no...

as for the PSP... very interesting... do you do your music through it? (I'm actually amazed at what all the PSP does, and I'm actually delighted that it made such a big splash that they've formatted movies for it... It makes me happy to see media branch out and stick ;oD)

oh, and his moonroof is Wabasto (Webasto?) ... same company that mine was purchased from (in the old V for those of you who do not know everything about my car(s) ;oD)

I play music and music videos on it. Music videos are cool for my passangers esp at night when you can see it better. I also have games for my passangers and I can pull up to starbucks or somewhere that has wifi and go online. It holds more music than my old-school Ipod shuffle 512mb and can do alot more so I figured why not put it in my V.

I am worried about someone busting a window to get it though.Yesterday I realized that those little windows in the front are for the courtious window breakers.

yikes! but that would really hurt... how much force do you think it'd take to bust those little windows?

No offense... but I figured out what I didn't like about the Sedan... I think the rearend looks way too much like a Camry... I wish they had kept the rear lights stylized the same...

Woogie - he had a shop cover over his seats. Yes, with a kit, but he didn't do it.

Depends on the tool. You can get an emergency glass breaking tool from just about any auto or tool shop (it's a spring-loaded awl) not too expensive, and you just basically lean on it and it will go right through.
