Installed my tension rods a while back, took it to get aligned last week when it was decent out, before it got crappy again. They straightened it out and it rides like a dream.Well worth the money.I noticed a lot more response( for the 20 miles i drove) in the front as well. Now i have to wait till april/may ,and i'll get more enjoyment from it.She will sit till then.

Courtesy tension rods are from TopSpeed/ProjectNissan. Someone put them on 300zx, hit the curve and this happened. 240sx and 300zx share same tension rods. Not sure what's supposed to happen. Break like this or just bend??? Yours might be in different color. Most aftermarket tension rods will do the job, but quality will show in extreme situation like this.

Mine are different than that. I only drive my car 500 to 800 miles are year and don't track it so i am sure that wouldn't happen.

I think they've upgraded it. IIRC, new versions were sold as Seichi(?) brand or something. I think body is strong on most aftermarket tension rods. Pillow ball and other parts matters. They should be okay under normal driving conditions.

not talking s*** but a lot of people get adjustable suspension components, tighten the crap out of them not knowing what they are doing, drive like idiots on horrible roads, and expect them not to break....

its was a good thing the t/c rod broke, not the LCA. Which one would be more expensive and difficult to replace? Factory always design control arms to break before your more expensive components.

Did he hit a curve or a curb? Because if it broke when he was turning that would suck, if it broke because he ran into something, he should probably stop doing that

I just installed circuit sports tension rods and they feel really good. Tension rods are definitely a worth while modification for anyone.

As for the one that broke on the 300zx, if the guy hit a curb should it not break?

Would you rather your < $100 arm break or something structural?

I'd rather the arm break but that's just me.
