next, does anyone have a picture of a car with the weathertech visors actually installed? i can only find the generic pictures on the weathertech site.

lastly, does anyone have any info regarding the use of 240sx springs on a q45? ive seen one guy do it but he didnt have much info.

You need special keys, you cannot just use a generic metal key. The little black stub has a chip in it, that chip needs to be setup to your car. You can make standard key, it will fit into the lock, but it will not turn on the car. You can get them from Scotsdale Infiniti (everythinginfiniti) or try eBay.

As for the springs, you do not want to put springs from a 3000 pound 4 cylinder car onto a 4000 pound 8. The only aftermarket upgrade are Tein's that come out of Japan, search for Kevin Falk, he's our local "importer"

depending on mileage you might try to get replacement shocks/struts. The KYb SR Specials also need special ordering.

If your not going to do this get the stock ones from Everything Infiniit, but the 240SX ones are just a bad idea.

Not true as Eibach did make some also, but now discontinued. Espilir(sp?) might make some also. Regardless, you will have to look to the JDM market for newor go custom.

I can get Espelir springs for FGY33 Cima with VH41 engine. The funny thing, they have almost identical spring rates and drops to the Teins which aren't specifically for Cima, but Cedric / Gloria, so they should feel the same. Pricing is about the same as Tein as well. I've got nearly 3 years on my Teins and have never had one complaint, other than I wish they were a tad bit lower.

And who cares who used to make springs? The only thing that counts is what you can actually get currently.

yeah the s14 springs will fit but the spring rates will be off.

it slams the y33 but I guarentee your oem struts or even aftermarket struts will not last too long.It drops it by about 3-4 inches leaving you with about 1-2 inches of strut rod travel.

lower spring rates + 2 inches of strut rod travel = crazy bottoming out, jacked up suspension parts and bent wheels.

But (based on Qprojects post) it could "harm" parts of your cars suspension that aren't easy/cheap to repalce, not to mention you wheels.

I think you'd screw up more thand you'd help. I would do it all in one big thing, get the Tein and I'd go out of my way to get the KYB SR Specials or go completely stock with new parts from Joe. That is the cheaper way to go, but no way does it compare to the aftermarket goodies.

BTW, Kevin is alone in his desire to go lower, man mine is as low as I want to go
