ok, so my car runs, using the rb upper harness and ka lower with the starter trigger extended but i need to do: 1) the interior harness for the dash on that plug by the ecu, do you just color match them or what? 2) the iac valve, not sure which wires go there.3) the orange wire from the dash plug goes to ecu pin 43 right? for the cold start injector? 4) the plug on the underside of the fuse box where does it go? i think thats the ka iac but im not sure5)my lower harness is from an auto so im going to have to snip the plugs and swap them for the standard plugs im assuming? i have a hacked standard lower harness as a donor. and i think thats it, anyone have any input?

edit: if you are smart enough you use the wire colors as reference and use it to fit your needs. i'm done with spoon-feeding.

I can almost guarantee you color matching wont work. Dig out the FSM and start working on it. I really have no idea what your even asking.

ok ill rephrase it, which wires do you have to swap in the car so the guages work? i read yellow and red and yellow and red go together, and then need to do the temp sender

I try to get my notes, but I don't promise anything, as my car is parked for winter. And I have other project that I'm working on.

By the way 93 rb20 into 90 S13, so your colors might be a little different then mine.

What gauge are you using, because I think you have to swap the coolant sensor from KA into your RB for S13 gauge, and your tach wont work correctly.

i did look at that but im not sure which wires to swap on the dash plug, it says what the s13 chassis wires do but not the rb ones, unless theyre the same? and also if your car came with hicas do you block one line off or get a ka pump or?

ive searched and read every rb wiring thread i could find, so dont tell me i dont do anything for myself. that guide is for putting an rb cluster in an s13... correct? im using a sr/dohc cluster so it doesnt apply to me.. does it? what i want to know is which wires to swap for the tach and temp gauge and the steering lines, thats it

OK First you need to get a FSM for the chassis that the instrument cluster came from. You said you have a cluster from a SR20 DOHC but i don't know how you wired it up since you have a 90 240SX, correct? Did it plug right in to the instrument cluster wiring in your car? The water temp wire for the instrument cluster from the RB20 is blue i believe. The tach is yellow/orange which you can find out by looking at the RB20 ecu. I'm sure you already did that.

Here are some pics from the 89-90 FSM for the instrument cluster for the water temp and tach. Not sure if you can use these as you have a different gauge cluster.

Do you know how to test continuity?

For the power steering you're gonna take the back half apart and remove the "fins". Then plug the other line with a properly sized metric bolt with a crush washer or 2. There was a writeup on racebread.com(RIP)
