Hey guys I just had a couple of questions for you. I am piecing together a turbo kit, now for the manifold i am probably going to use one from ebay( yes i know the are crap but this is just to get me started) now for the turbo i was thinking of using either the disco potatoe or a hks gt2540r. my main question is the internal wastegate. i know it uses vacuum to pull the diaphram to open up the bypass, but where exactly do you hook the tube up to for the vacuum? my second question would be should i run 370cc injectors or 450cc? i am planning on a safe 8-10psi on stock internals. Thanks guys!

Might as well get the 450cc Injectors. Cause you will eventually want more power, and 370, and 450 are usually only a couple bucks apart.

As for the waste gate there should be a nipple sticking out of it, Below is a picture Demonstrating.

You hook it up to a vacuum source, sometimes the compressor side of the turbo has a nipple you can hook it up to, thats what's usually recommended.

If it doesn't have one, then tee it off from something like your fpr.

well doesn't it rely on boost though? as in once a certain amount of boost is reached the vacuum generated by that boost would be applied to the diaphram and upon the actuator to bypass and keep that boost level?

when under boost all vac lines are also boost lines. So any vac source u Hook up to it will register boost on your wastegate.

ah thanks! let me double check, the bov should be tee'd of the brake booster and the wastegate(if the compressor doesn't have a place to attach it) can be placed on the intercooler piping or fpr then right?

I have wastegate t'd off brake booster, my bov and msd 6btm t'd off fpr but right by manifold so the whole world doesnt see 3 vac lines. That will all work 4 ya. Or you could drill/tap hole on the compressor housing and put fitting in there and use that for Wastegate
