Im getting ready to replace my timing kit in my KA24DE. I The motor is in a '91 and has 90k on it. Im also replacing the water pump. Is there anything else in there that needs to be checked/replaced while Ive got the front of the motor apart? Id like to take care of all that I can while Im in there.:help

no thats pretty much it. Timing components to include tensioner and guide. and your water pump. look at your fan blade make sure it doesnt have any cracks around the center. other then that theres not much else.

ty. Ive seen people using thier stock a/c fan for cooling, instead of the clutch fan. Is this safe? I live in GA, so it can be kinda hot. Will it be enough to keep temp. down? (Doesnt sound too good to me) But I really wanna get rid of my clutch fan....

no the stock a/c fan does not come on till a much higher temp then your typical electric cooling fan in cars without a mechanical fan. Its around 212 degrees where a electric fan cooled car is around 195. If you do go all electric you could wire your fan up to come on when ever the car is running. That would be about the safest way to go with out the mechanical. You could get more precise by wiring in cooling temp switches for it. Most go for the always on since its cheaper.

Heres a basic way to wire it up.

Where is the fuel relay located? Could any 12V ignition wire work?

yes any ignition controled power will work to activate the relay
