can any body tell me what this setup is called, any benefits, who's car this is (it is an s13) and how or why you would go about doing this. I really like it!

really dont what the setup is called but one would do that to help the cage absorb the movements better.

It looks like the actual shocks ar mounted to the set up almost like two sets of shocks, if you look at where the shock would normally mount, it just goes straight threw and links to the set up.

yea those are real shocks, not the one off the car.

Id really like to know who's car this is, i saw the picture at work and just set it as my desktop and then forgot where i saw it in the first place, kinda sucks. Id like to talk to this guy.

its a super exotic suspension seetup hahah its on the carrera gt and the ford gt as well i think and some others i've seen this in other cars as well less exotic ones but uber modified. the thing is the shocks are mounted in side then a rod is connected inteh place of where the coildover would normally be. the peice in between the rod and coilover multiplies the amount of stiffness vs movement depending on the size of the arms. and so less shock movement but more effectiveness. its better in alot of way but i suck at explaining and i guess at the least saves weight? haha
