couple questions

first off...IDLE...well basically it idles between 900-1100 but whenever i stop at a light, its different when i stopped the last time..what could it be...also, whenever I turn on my lights..there is a squelling sound that comes from the left side of engine bay...turn them off and it goes away...very odd...WHAT THE HELL IS IT!!! bothers me soooo much...thanks

lol...well the most likely culpret for the squeaking is iether the alternator belt or the pully. just old stuff. as far as the idol, z's are plauged with that. could be a weak injector. not failed yet just failing. ptu(power transistor unit), or any number of little things. but it's not fatal.

couldnt it jus be backed up pressure from the turbo or no???

If the climate control is on it can idle up to 1500rpm and with teh climate control off and the car warmed up, it should idle around 800.

Check your air filter and change your fuel filter, they are the cheapest culprits. If after you change them both it still does it, have a Nissan dealership diagnose your injectors and if that comes up negative, the fuel computer is a likely culprit.

squealing is definately a belt/tensioner, but if its a whining it can be the alternator itself.

So would that means he needs a new altenator belt? Or altenator needs greese?

you don't want grease on a belt. you want it to grip not slip.change the belt 8 dollar part
