So i have read a lot of posts about the turboing the KA24D and i am in the process with my 94 vert right now and i was wondering how the ignition system holds up with around 7 psi. just wondering if anyone knows so i know what to expect when im done. Also i noticed that their is an electric fan attached to the inside of the radiator along with the mechanical fan. What is this used for? thanks for the help

Oh BTW i did search this and all i found was one guy said that it is for the AC but i remember on my 1990 240sx HB that the AC fans were on the outside of the engine bay not the inside.

The ignition system should be fine up and well past 7psi. If you get some spark blowout gap the plugs down a bit...you should be running colder plugs anyway under boost.

The electric fan turns on when the ac is on for extra cooling, I believe it may turn on when the engine hits a certain temperature as well. Some people have removed the mechanical fan altogether and wired the electric fan to a relay so that it is on when the engine is on.
