first of all let me say Hello since Im new here.. got my G like five days ago.

got couple of questions so far:

a) did anybody put nav into non-nav G? how much the unit could cost and is it more or less plug'n'play b) does anybody has Falken 452s on G coupe 18's? any comments on these?c) what is the front camber on stock car?d) is there any more lighter jack except those two I found (in the bottom of audio unit and one inside arm rest)?

thanks in advance.

Welcome to NICO.

I am contemplating the Nav install. I haven't found a price yet, but I will likely be pulling one from a totalled G instead of purchasing one new.

I have a pair of Falken F452s that I plan on putting on after the bridgestones die. I put the bridgestones on for a drift event as I didn't want to waste the Falkens. They are supposed to be really great tires.

There are only two DC power/cig lighters in the G coupes. Why would you want more???

The stock camber settings can be found in the FSM (Check the FAQ for the link). On the sports suspension it's somewhere around -1 degrees in the front and -1.7 degrees in the rear or something close to that.

Since you have the 18s, you might have slightly more conservative settings.

Also, there is an empty area in the trunk where the spare and jack are. All of ours have the empty area. Nobody knows why it's there.

thanks for response. Dealership promised to put new summer tires sometime this or next week - so this is not a big deal about tire question.. just wondering for myself.

as for nav - Im definitely planning to get nav unit from wrecked g or smth. idk this is long term plan anyways.. since I dont know local junk yards or ppl here who can sell it etc.

as for lighter jack... it is funny - I plugged in my Nuvi and it does not seem to be enough space between plug and shifter etc.. plus I dont like wires to mess around. Also need to hardwire my V1 radar detector so if somebody can point me where to get 12v around in car fuse box it would help much..

also.. do you guys have electronic service manual here for download? or paper copy to buy etc? helms?

thanks again for willing to help here

I thought about having the nav installed in my 06 Maxima and they told me the cost would be high due to all the things that they had to change (including the screen, etc.) I just bought a Magellan and it works great (other than not having it in the most convenient place).

The Falkens are summer tires.

There's a company that sells a stealth Radar detector cord that tucks into the headliner IIRC. I'm not sure on that one.

The only way I've been able to use the front outlet is with the angled plugs. The one for my Mogul is at a 45 degree angle, so I just point it towards the passenger seat or I use the one in the arm rest.

Again...Go check the FAQ sticky at the top of this forum. There's a link there for the Factory Service Manual (FSM) in PDF Form...Actually there are like 30 different files. Each one has a different section of the manual.

I have Falken 452 GBR 19" 255's on front and back and they are great. They wear nicely, and I do not get as much wheelspin as I did with the 451's.

Definately recommend them.

I've put 17k on my Toyo Proxies...probably have 2-3k more left...much better than the OEM tires! The OEM rears were bald at 13k.

If you check on car-part.com and do a national search, there are a number of G35 Nav systems available. Prices range from $500 to $900. This part is small enough to be shipped UPS.

I have Toyo Proxes T1R---I love them---sticky as heck. Have about 11,000 miles on them, and they still look good, drive well in dry and hot conditions, and are still quiet. Excellent tires. I will not have anything else on my car.

245x35R19 - Front275x35R19 - Rear

Budget about $250 a piece for each tire.
