May be a little overwhelming...

I have a manual transmission (TT) ready to go and was wondering whether the crankshaft clearance is the same or near-same in the Zs?

Can I complete my conversion without a clutch booster? There is a kit available by CZP without it.

I'll be upgrading the Z with the newer injectors and components ('95 EFI TT M/T harness, 94+ cas ) but I don't know if I'll need to replace my ECU with another since I'll have a different harness. If i wasn't changing years I know I could keep my auto ECU.

With the harness change, what other components must/ should/ recommended be changed? what can be spliced?eg. O2 sensors, air regulator, egr valve, COPs, etc. (from what I read may need to be changed)

Also, for the trans/ alt harness, do I go by the year of the car or the year of the transmission?

THANK YOU x3, You're all far too kind- JZ. Thanks in advance.

On the transmission, I assume you mean you are planning on using a non-turbo trans on a turbo setup? Using a turbo clutch/flywheel required grinding out the non-turbo trans a little in some areas for clearance, as well as a shim for the starter to space it out to fit the larger flywheel.

If you are installing a newer style EFI harness, you will need the newer injectors as well as the connectors are different. This requires either an adapter kit or a different fuel rail as new injectors won't fit the old style fuel rail. A 95 Nissan fuel rail won't fit the older engine lower intake plenum and there is a head difference as well. I would buy the adapter kit from Deatschwerks or something like that.

I am unsure if the connector for the 95 harness at the ECU end is the same or not, but I think it is.

I think a lot of the other components like AAC etc still use that old style spring clip connector but I might be wrong. I'd call one of the sponsors or Courtesy Parts and ask as they will know

..Hope that helps.
