1) I am not mechanically inclined, but I also don't like paying Infiniti dealer fees for parts & repairs. I'd like to save money by buying my own parts, but a couple of the local shops won't take customer-supplied parts. So does anyone know of a mechanic in the Boston area that might fit the bill (pun intended)?
2) I also have a gasoline smell in the cabin, but only for the first 5-10 minutes after a cold start. Then it disappears. Does this sound like injector seals are the culprit? If so, is this a DIY job?
3) One of my front struts is going bad. Is it OK to replace just one, or should these always be done in pairs? Do I just need the insert, or would other parts be required? I wish my local mechanics would take my parts, because the Infiniti dealer charges $500 per corner (not including labor)!
Well, I know that's 3 questions...but thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give!
