couple of questions about new ka-t project

You guys might remember me, i had a 94 vert that i through a t25 on. long story short, no more 3rd cylinder. I have recently bought a 93 s13 which is a better deal. It was only 900 and is already a manuel so no swap anymore needed:) i know that a lot of guys boost their stock KAs with not many problems. i think mine was the fact that my injectors were stock. i had a couple questions though. in theory if i had a walbro fuel pump, 370cc injectors i should be ok to run around 7psi right?? also my turbo is suppose to have a 7psi wastegate but it instead it decides to run 10psi. at least that is what i was running in my vert. is their any other way to drop the boost down?? thanks

Maybe try another boost gauge? Just to have consistency.

I would try to loosen the wastegate flapper screw adjuster thingy and that should bring down the boost a little bit.. And make sure you are running the wastegate reference hose from the hot side of the charge piping, and not the manifold.I did that on my GT28RS and it worked to drop 2psi of manifold pressure.

wastegate line goes form charge pipe.

if you arm isnt adjustable you can cut and lengthen it with **** from home depot...

Or just fine tune for 10 PSI, it should handle that with out a problem at all on a T25.

Actually what do you use for tuning?

thats was my problem with my 94 vert. i kinda jumped into it too fast. i didnt have any tuning done. the biggest upgrade that i did was a walbro fuel pump. so i understand that that was a bad idea. im not made of money but just want to be able to run 7psi saftly. what do you guys recomend for tuning? i am going to do a fuel injector upgrade as well as a better coil. thanks for your help so far.
