Hi all, just received my Rogue (SL AWD - Canadian) this week and enjoying it mostly so far!

Have a few questions:
  • 1. If my air is set to exterior (not the recycling one) and points to face forward, then when the car moves, I feel air coming in! Even though it is set to OFF. The only way I can avoid exterior air is if I set it to the "recycling mode". Is this normal? The weird thing is when the car stops, no air comes in, it seems like the car let airflow to come in rather than having a fan to blow outside air in... Just a little weird as all my other cars never did that. Is that what they call "automatic air intake"?
    2. What is the 2-level center tray means? In my Altima Coupe, there's actually 2 levels. In the Rogue however, it's just one giant deep box with a coin tray near the top.
    3. I saw in the American version of the Rogue has some sort of separators (for groceries) in the cargo area, it is non-existant in my Canadian SL AWD. Normal?
    4. In the GPS, any way to set the keyboard to QWERTY?
    5. How fast is your bluetooth response? Seems pretty slow with the iPhone 4, takes at least 3 to 4 rings for the Bluetooth to pick it up so I can choose to answer...
That's it for now, thanks!

Hi there, and welcome to the NICO Rogue forum!

1. This is normal, and most if not all newer vehicles are designed this way. Only the fan is set to "off", but movement of the vehicle will allow fresh air enter the vehicle. If you want to disable this, simply tap the "recirculate" button.

2. I don't quite understand your question. In the past there has been a tray insert/2nd level tray but I believe this has been discontinuued.

3. The cargo area organizer is an option and is not standard on all models. In 2008 when I purchased my Rogue the cargo organizer was part of the premium package, I haven't had a chance to check the 2011 specs but since you report that you don't have this on your SL AWD then it must still be part of an options package. The good news is that you get a full size spare tire, if you get the cargo organizer then you lose the full size spare.

4. I do not have this on my 2008 so cannot comment.
5. Same as #4.

Other owners will likely offer some tips on items 4 and 5. Enjoy that new Rogue!!

Hi! Welcome to our forum. I am pretty sure you will find answers for your many "upcoming" questions. I bought a 2011 SV and here are my answers:

1. That is normal. I had the same question during the first weeks.

2. It is basically a plastic box that fits into the centre console. If you open the lid of the console, and look carefully you can see the groove that the box supposed to sit. Look at this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffglucker/5793634979/)

When I first bought the car, I asked dealer if they lost it or forgot to put. They said Nissan decided to remove it due to security reasons (people try to get something while driving bla bla bla)...or in other words, Nissan decided to save $25 from a cheep plastic. I bought a used one from ebay for $45. it is extremely useful. Without that tray (or box), you insert your arm up to your elbow to reach to the bottom to get something. An unnecessary huge space without the divider.

Another thing you did not realize, but you will in a month or so, is the "glove box divider". Did you notice the slot inside the unnecessarily "huge" glove box? There used to be a divider, help to organize that space...yes, they decided not to put it any more...It is the vertical piece on this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/8319362@N08/3833419089/)

3. My Rogue has a full size spare tire, so if you also have a full size spare (I guess SL models automatically has -premium package- like 18" rims fog lights etc.) then you won't have this beautiful organizer tray, hidden underneath the trunk carpet. All you have is two tiny little triangular storage areas at the corners, behind the stop lamps.

I am poking my rags and first aid kit inside the rim of the spare tire...

4. I don't have a GPS, but like most of the other parts of the car, probably you can not customize this as well.

5. I have iphone 3G and it is really fast. Try to connect another phone. Maybe the Bluetooth antenna has a failure.
