Thus far, I have built a large shelf, two sets of night stands, a quilt stand, a table (Window Stand) to fit under a window and a small table for my office. All were done with standard white pine and worked out relatively well. Both sets of night stands were gifts as well as the "window stand" and I still have the "other" stuff around here.

Nightstand sets: (1 pair cherry finish, 1 pair walnut)

Quilt Stand (Sweaters were all chunked, so no smart remarks):

Small office table:

Window Stand (was stained walnut as well):

These turned out pretty well as my first projects of this kind. At some point I will design and build a large-scale entertainment system. I have designs I created, by they need to be adjusted in order to support a larger TV.

The real question, Matt, is...when the hell do you have time to do all this stuff?

Nice work Matt!(I like the nightstands the best..... I would buy them if they were available in a store, as I think they would go well with my bed)

If I may threadjack for a moment......

I have built a bookshelf to fill an unwanted doorway(x2), a few bits and pieces here and there, and my favorite....... the bar

Nice work Matt. Staining pine can be very difficult, because of the pitch (sap) content. You did a great job!

I'm diggin' the bar. It looks like it should - cramped, dark, and full of booze. My kind of place.

My dad and I built a large entertainment system cabinet a few years back when he bought a bigger TV, if I remember tomorrow I will snap a few pictures of it. It turned out very well.

I actually designed blueprints for mine. Since I don't plan on staying more than another year in the current house, those plans are on hold.

Pretty much by the time I get done at work for the day I don't even want to see another piece of wood.I do a fair bit of interior trimming and woodwork in some of Denver's most expensive neighborhoods. I do get to work with really nice material and I do enjoy the finished product I just don't enjoy doing the work all that much

pretty good looking work. i build custom cabinets and im always happy to see the work of others. i have our website on my sig but its not up yet because we are fine tuning it but soon it will be up and yall can check out what i do. all the houses we do are really high end like million dollar homes, but we have toprice our work kinda cheap to compete with all the prefab cabinet shops that are around here. generally speaking our cabinets start at 30,000 and go up from there, and there is at least a three month wait time for our cabinets because we are so busy and there are only 5 people that work there.
