Hey guy, im pretty new to KA-Ts. My motor is basically compiled of parts I had laying around. Its a dohc with a t25 from a SR, running 7psi/wastegate. I am running stock injectors with a FMU, ARC side mount intercooler with a greddy type s bov. The motor only had 80k on it but I still replaced all the gaskets using stock gaskets. My goals werent big for this car it was just something to have fun in while I am building my RB. Anyway, the point of this thread was so I can ask a few questions.

1) What kind of spark plugs do you recommend? What gap to?

2) Is there anyway to tell what size my FMU is? I got it for free off a galant vr4, there isnt much description besides that its blue and vortec makes it.

3) What should I set my timing to? Is stock spec ok?

1) NGK bkr7e. but they changed the part # and i dont know it off hand. start your gap at .32 and make it tighter as needed do to spark blow out, but at 7 psi i dont see that happening.

2) sorry cant answer that one, I never messed with an FMU. post pics maybe someone can help you.

3) .5 deg retard per psi of boost, so about 4* and you should be fine.

2) I believe you have to take it apart and measure the disk inside. The rate is determined by the size of the disk.

4) Get a wideband AFR gauge so you can tell what's happening when you're in boost.

Can I use BKR6ES, or does it have to be two steps colder down?

Well I think the FMU was to big it ran pretty rich. I ditched it and swapped in my 370cc injectors. I also added a n60 maf and a friend of mine burnt me a chip for my ecu and I wired in my safc. I havent really been able to drive the car yet, I still need to install the wideband and start fine tuning with the AFC. Ill post up my results tomorrow.
