couple coupe specific questions

i got an 89 coupe, ka24e 5 speed swapped. the left taillight doesnt work when you hit the brakes if the headlights are on. the license plate light is also missing. All bulbs are good. I've pulled the inner panels off and cant figure it out. Is the one brake light routed through the license plate light so you'll have to fix it?

also the filler panel between the taillight, under the trunk lid and above the bumper, is it coupe specific?

anyone got either part forsale?

all of the electrical questions are not coupe specific,
seems like theres a wiring issue.

and yes, that center part is coupe specific.

My coupe had a similar problem. The problem was the grounds on the actual taillight. Try shaking the wires around while the brakes on see if it comes on. Also make sure that you are using the correct bulbs, using a single filament bulb where a dual is required will cause issues.

i've checked and made sure all bulbs were matching side to side... is the rear bumpers different between coupes and hatches

the coupe has terrible connection issues within the tail light/ brake light assmly mine give me issues all the time... just tighten the phillips heads and jiggle the wires
