Soo I messed with the sr today, I haven't pulled the head but its damn close, I didn't want to pull it till the day i get all the parts, so i can put it back together all in the same day.

I ordered my headgasket, arp head studs, t25 turbo, and front oil pump.

also got my full 5 lug swap(rears z32 with e brakes, fronts s14 with knuckles and lca) and full z32 brake upgrade with bmc againnnn) and the coupe is getting my fart can 3in exhaust, and the hatch is getting a fab performance straight pipe. :]

(yesss i'm stilling waiting on my ka to get back, i think i'll have the sr running before my ka fuuuu)

The engine obviously ran pretty rich, and the head is pretty black on the inside, looks like it was oil starved. But the cylinder walls look decent, the tops need a little cleaning, because its been sitting for awile.

I also need to replace my exhaust rocker arms, they're pretty scratched up.

Just took the head off.

Day ended well.

So got a call on a deal tonight, a full s13 sr swap, only thing is the bottom end is pretty shot, and the head isn't perfect, but use able.

For 600 I'll be getting all the stuff i need to finish my car including

ecu
coil packs
clutch/flywheel
transmission
rocker arms
cams
exhaust mani
larger oil pan
rebuilt oil pump w/ s14
t25 turbo
intercooler piping
altima fans

everything else i have, so i think it'll be a decent deal, i can sell the rest of the stuff i don't need, or keep it for spares.

then all i will need is my head hot tanked and cleaned, greddy ras, and a head gasket. Hm.. I think i'll do it.

should i do it?

Right, and the guy threw in a jcc with the harness and all the sensors, just need some little things to complete it.

I'm pretty stoked this sr will be running in a few weeks i hopes. Just gotta find a head gasket and do some machine works. I'm gonna get my head cleaned and decked, start off freshh.

So much for showing the other Z32 guys what the word "fitment" means. I'm disappointed.

Good luck with your build though.

oh no, don't worry, the guy i'm working with is still building this 300zx with my thoughts, he wants it the same way, were going to put a s14 sr20 in it coils, wheels, etc. Its gonna be pimp, don't worry. I still love z's, but for now with my money, the 240 is in my price range.

I'm not leaving the z world trust meee.
