im having this problem too, from what i can see on mine, the weather seal around the trunk is dry, i think it may be either my taillight seals, or (i really hope its not this) my rear glass is leaking, you may want to check those areas on yours too

When I got my s13 hatch (yes I know you have a coupe) two years ago I had the same problem. Except I had everything wrong with my hatch. The weatherstrip needed to be replaced, the seals around both tail lights needed to be re-done. After that it was STILL leaking into my trunk. It turns out I had a very odd ball problem that I haven't read or heard about before.

Under the weather strip, by each tail light I have two small rust spots, nothing major at all, something you wouldn't even think would be an issue. I put a dab of weather strip sealant on each spot and re installed the weatherstrip, my trunk has been dry every since. Do what I did, get in your trunk (it was easier for me, I have a hatch ) and have someone run water all over the trunk, tail lights, get all in the crevices. Its the only way to truly find the leak...have fun

it was the rear glass window panel. it seemed the water went through it. i used windshield sealant for it and it doesnt leak anymore. hope this helps somebody.

my coupe leaks water into the trunk form the taillights i removed all that goop stuff that seals the tail light to the body, thinking what the hell is this? so i removed when i replaced the rear lights, never should have done that. now it leaks water into the trunk, i need to repair it before it makes rust

are you talking bout the outside or inside if the taillight trim. i had water leak through both. just go to advanced and get the glass sealant for it. costs only 6 bucks good investment
