Here is a picture of the spoiler I am thinking of getting. Let me know what you think. P.S. Is Nissan going to make a chrome grille for the coupe

Is that the official spoiler? It is probably the best I have seen on the coupe, I still think it looks better without it thou.

No, not from the dealership. The one I saw on a 3.5 at the dealship had this very same look. You can buy this one with a third brake light on it. Very similar to the one that came on my dad's G35.

That's probably the hottest spoiler I've seen so far. I don't even own a coupe yet, but when I do, that might be the only spoiler I'd consider.

Are there many A/C's where you are? If there are, definitely do something to make yours standout.

Not many A/Cs. I think I have seen one in my town. I am completely torn on the decision...it's beautiful without but I love spoilers on cars and I think it looks good with one.

Maybe wait awhile and see how you feel about your coupe.

Don't rush it....you'll end up filling holes in your trunk!!!

You're right it is beautiful without. The spoiler adds some attitude, but it makes it look even more like a G35. Is that good or bad? Take your pick.

That is probably one of the better spoilers that I have seen. I think that it would look even better with the brake light. However, I really do think that it's an amazing looking car without the spoiler. I think that I'd have to see it in person with it and without it to accurately make my decision. I am definitely a fan of spoilers on sporty cars, but I'm leaning towards saying no to the spoiler on the coupe.

Do you have a picture of it directly from behind?

No, but if I did wouldn't it make it much easier? I got this off of the website where you can order them from.

That's the best spoiler I have seen on the coupe so far but no thanks, this car looks too good without one.

As a G35 owner I say any reference to a G35 is a bad thing.

The car looks a tad too small - and the front axle too far back (probably a consequence of it being FWD while the G35 is RWD). FWD is great for inclement weather - otherwise the RWD is more fun.

The Altima rear end is already a bit big - so I wouldn't call extra attention to it. Perhaps a smaller more understated spolier like on the newer 05 and newer G35s. The spolier in this thread looks like the first gen spoiler of the G35

BTW - for those salivating over the Altima (unless you need all weather capability) - why not consider a lighlty used G35 coupe - that could be had for thousands less, with equivalent features and more power?

I think the G35 is a great car. For people that don't have to worry about snow, a used G should be considered because rear wheel drive can't be beat for performance.

Being from Canda, I was not in the Market for a summer car as we get a fair amount of snow so the FWD Altima coupe was like hitting a Home Run for my needs. I can use the Altima year round and when I want some rear wheel drive fun in the summer, I can always drive my Mustang GT.

That being said, I have hardly driven the Mustang since I bought my new coupe because there are so few on the road and it's just fun to drive such a fresh car that many people are seeing for the 1st time.

As for the spoiler, I vote no because the Altima rear end is perfect!

G35 Altima Coupe and I love Mustangs too!

I just bought my Coupe on Friday night. The dealership had already added a spoiler to it so I thought I wouldn't like it because I, too, thought the back end of the Coupe is beautiful and didn't need the extra ornamentation. But I really like it. It gives it an even more sporty flair.

I don't know how to post pics, but the spoiler is different from the one in the image at the top of the thread. Mine seems a bit smaller, but still no 3rd brake light, though.

The best spoiler I have seen so far.

We were thinking of adding spoiler and new 18" wheels and tires, but the more compliments and the more I look at our car the 3.5se looks good as is.

That's how I found the Altima Coupe, I was looking for a 1-3 year old G35. I didn't want to put myself back in a RWD as my only car again (I drove a Z28 aka: Winter Death Sled until a couple years ago. I have a great winter driving story in that car).

PS. I don't like this spoiler. Makes me think Pontiac Sunfire but if you like it go ahead.

I have noticed that everyone keeps forgetting that Infiniti makes an AWD G35. The G35X. This solves all the weather problems, and still gives you RWD performance. It also has a handy "snow" button that when activated, lessens the tourque of the engine to reduce slipage.

G35 or altima coupe for a purchase

many people go with the coupe because unlike the G there is a "cheap" version and also they were in the market for a New car, you know 5 10 miles full warranty no previous owners :-) and why would you want a G35 over an altima coupe when the G37 is right around the corner ???? I understand the G is a great car but there are alot of other cars i would buy for the price if I were in the market for a used car. I personally as well as probably many other a/c owners were in the market for a new car in the 25-30k range not 35-40k range

There are two spoilers available through Spoiler Solutions http://www.spoiler-solutions.com, one of which is pictured above.

This is where I found the info about it (it isn't listed on their site yet): http://altimacoupeclub.com/vie...ae0b2.

As for getting the G over the a/c, why not then go for the 350Z over the G35 when the 350Z is going to perform better, if performance is truly the motive? There are always tradeoffs with those kinds of decisions, and, at least around here, most G35 and even 350Z drivers do no performance driving whatsoever and likely do not use the difference in performance that their rwd car is capable of anyway.

Personally I'd have considered a used 350Z in a heartbeat (it'd be great fun to attempt to exploit that performance gap with my meagre skills), but unfortunately living where it's winter 8-9 months of the year, the a/c made more sense to get as my only car. Not as fun, but funner than most or all fwd alternatives, and of course still affordable.

I think that one of the reasons that alot of us love the Altima coupe is the exterior design. It's beautiful! I thought about the Z but I hate the back of it and it's only a 2 seater. I don't have too many people sit in the back, but when I need to, I can.

As far as performance, it may not perform as well as the Z, but like you said, how many people actually do any performance driving.

The choice for me was easy, the price was right, look is great, and the speed is definitely enough for me. But everyone is looking for something different.

NOt sure where you shop but used G35s are in the 20-32k range. If you are paying over that then you should be buying new. I picked up a fully loaded 2003 G35 coupe w less than 8k miles for a couple thousand dollars less than the price of a new 4 cylinder Altima Coupe. My car is basically a new car. Not saying my deal was typical but deals like this and better are out there. My car has performance package - 18" wheels, spoiler package and navigation. 1st Owner added clear bra. The only thing I did was put splash guards and the Ds on it on it.

So you could pay more for a new 4 cylinder altima coupe and not have as much car performance and feature wise.

Again - I think the main difference is that the Altima is Front Wheel Drive - which is a great benefit if you need to drive in snow. Comparisons to the 350Z only make sense if you ignore the fact that the Z is a 2 seater. Waiting for the G37 also only makes sense if you like paying retail or above for the newest latest - and you don't mind paying for a huge hunk of depreciation that occurs the minute you drive off the lot.

Otherwise a lightly pre-owned G35 Coupe can be considered if Front Wheel Drive is not a necessity. These are excellent, reliable cars that feature a more powerful version of the 6 cylinder Altima engine AND Rear Wheel Drive.

I know you guys are excited about the Altima and all. But in the link you attached - there is an accent on the E in Coupe - which changes the pronounciation from COOP to COOPAY.

seems like a pretty nice deal

for the same budget the reason i chose altima is because it doesn't have 03 04 written all over

08 is the way to go
