Coupe tail light problem

The wiring in my 240's tail lights are all messed up. When i brake my tail lights dont get brighter but instead one light on each side turns off. Can someone post a picture of the inside of their coupes tail light so i can rewire my lights?

Why do you think your wiring is all messed up? Did you modify it?

Are you positive it's just not a bad ground? Or a busted bulb?

240 taillights are notorious for the ground wire getting covered in melted plastic which usually makes that light not work properly.

i looked inside the housing and the wires are all taped up. i guess the guy i bought my car from messed it up or something

Heh.. I've got the same prob on my coupe. Have you fixed yours yet? I'll be rewiring mine tomorrow(I've got melted wire sleeving)- I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. A water hose deep down somewhere by my alternator exploded.. BUT.. I did finally get my taillights fixed today. I took off my taillight fixture and examined a little better before incase I really didn't need to rip out the wiring. The grounds were loose so I screwed them back in and everything started working, but I do have some random cut wires and stuff in there.. o.O Don't know why though- stupid owners before.

I had this exact problem with the plastic melting over and stopping my connection.^ This man speaks the truth!
