I'm looking for feedback on how your coupe handles when you drive on the highway during a windy day. I'm trying to determine if I need to replace the crap Goodyears or if it's simply the coupe's characteristic to move "side to side" easily whenever driving on the highway during a windy day. (I'm not talking about hurricane/tornado force winds either).

I've driven back to Cali from Las Vegas, NV in 45 mph winds and the coupe handled pretty well. A lil sway when a big gush would come, but nothing too crazy. I was able to stay straight in my lane. :dblthumb:

For the more than 2yrs I've owned my '10AC, I've driven almost daily 40mi hi-way round-trip in SE PA, often on open stretches @ up to 100mph, sometimes in windy conditions. I don't know exactly how fast the winds were, but I'm sure there were gusts up to @ least 45, & I've never experienced that 'side to side' you mention. The first six months were the original Bridgestones; since, I've had Michelin Primacy MXV4's. I've been very satisfied with those tires in every way for almost 15k mi, & I should have @ least another 15k tread left. They weren't too expensive either.

I'm guessing it must be the Goodyear RSAs which have a very poor performance rating. Since my alignment and tire pressure are all squared away. The swaying is even more pronounced if the roads are wet and windy. :ohno:

I ran Yokohama AS500 All Seasons in all sorts of conditions (including one year where there were actually hurricane force winds... because.... hurricane), and i felt the wind hitting the car, but it never swayed like your saying.

Goodyear RSAs are absolute GARBAGE. Weather aside, replace them whenever you can and get a good Bridgestone, Michelin, Hankook, or Yokohama tire. I have also heard good things about Coopers, but I don't have any firsthand experience with those.

Coopers are amazing tires. As far as handling characteristics...I don't even feel the wind

I ran Cooper's on a'91 LeBaron convert V6 from '96 to 2008 & they were probably the best tires I ever had. I think I went thru 3 sets in over 100k. I forget the exact model type. There's still one lying in my garage with good tread.

You got that right! The Goodyear RSA's feel like suicide in the making! :ohno: :yesnod I'm going to replace them within the next few weeks. I don't understand how these tires made it through R&D. :tisk:
