Coupe Grill Removal

I've searched the forum and seen a few post where people have removed the bumper/grill on their sedan but can't find anyone who has posted details on removing the grill on the coupe. Since there aren't any good grills out yet, I was thinking about taking mine out and at least color matching the chrome on my grill to get rid of the handlebar mustache look. Sorry if I missed any posts in my search but any help/suggestions would be appreciated....

I haven't seen under the hood of the coupe, but most import cars only have 4-6 bolts (Nissan uses 10mm) holding down the top of the grill. Usually there's a couple of retainer clips that hold down the rest of it. Just fish around your engine bay and you'll see what I'm talking about

According to this it looks like removal of the bumper might be necessary. I haven't looked myself to verify though.

Hahaha that would really suck if you had to remove the bumper just to get to the grill! Hey, at least I was right about the 6 screws/clips But I feel sorry for you guys having to do all that just for the grill

Yeah, I messed with it a little last night and came to same conclusion...bumper has to come off. I think that I may just to an extra good masking job and paint the chrome pieces on the car. I'll be replacing the whole thing one day but figure it will at least look better in the meantime...

I'm guessing that pic above came out of the service manual? Where can I get a copy of that? I just did a search and didn't find anything. Thanks!
