I was thinking about this the other day. It will be easier, but remember that you need to either keep your power window switches on the car (they could probably be tucked into the kick panel) or modify the harness.Eikon wrote:manual windows will be easier than rewiring for power windows.
Excellent point! I didn't even think of that! I complete forgot about the rear windows.ishkabibble wrote:

If the switches are not on the car, the 1/4 windows do not work. The whole power window harness is linked together through the master switch.
If you put power coupe/hatch doors on, you will need to completely disconnect your door wiring harness, pull it from the door, and then pull it into the new door and reconnect it. I'm not sure if the connectors will fit through the hole in the door or not. The connector for the main power window switch is pretty big. If they don't fit, you may have to cut wiring and reconnect it when the new doors are on. Someone like madcowvert who has actually done the door swap would know for sure.azndan2 wrote:rewiring has to be done if you swap the doors?? What kind of wiring? I thought it was just plug and play...
I hear you.... people don't understand that working on the car is "me time".ccptravis wrote:30 minutes sounds about right but, you also have to take the beer factor into consideration. beer helps the complaining girlfriend problem. thats the problem wich can side track any small project, and it will prolong the final outcome!
Glad to hear that you got it done! i hope that the info i gave you helped out post picswhen you can.azndan2 wrote:Hey all, just wanted to let you know i successfully completed the coupe door swap with my friend. I'll post up pics sometime. Thanks guys for all your help!
