what do you mean loud,

the only other way i know is to just get the door panels and install those, but you have to hack away at some metal parts inside the door

i think its easier to just put the doors on from a hatch of coupe

Do you mean the vert door is loud? come on man it's not a 2008 its a 1992-1994.

The vert door swap is not that had and you won't have that heavy convertible door i did it. but if you do it with the vert door you don't need to paint your car.

The Coupe door is a direct bolt on. the only thing you need to do is change the wiring harness that's inside the door.

I don't know what thing your talking about remeber your on the internet I dont know what the thingy is.

If your talking about the seat belts not matter which door you do your going to need to reloacte the seat belts.

You obviously need to do more research.

BOTTOM LINE (coming from someone who has done the swap):s13 coupe/hatch doors are a direct bolt-on replacement for the vert doors. Once you have the door bolted on you need to do two things: wire it up and relocate the seatbelts.

Now, I don't remember exactly what I did for the wiring, but I know it was different. the coupe doors I used had power windows just like the vert, but the wire harness was a little different. A few minutes with the wiring diagram should get you squared away with that - it's super simple - I don't think it took me more than two minutes to figure out without the wiring diagrams.

For seatbelt relocation you have a few options. You can buy some ebay 4-point harnesses and bolt them into some factory mounting points. This is the least time consuming and easiest option. This is what I did when I did the conversion. However, this is definitely the LEAST SAFE option. Don't make this permanent! It's just an option to get you by until you can do it right!

Another option is to follow the guidlines in the door-pillar removal guide. This is time consuming, but not very difficult. This is a very clean way to do it and also very safe. it's probably the cheapest way to go if you do the work yourself as you don't really need to buy anything.

The best option is also going to be the most expensive and probably pretty time consuming. Get a harness bar installed and buy some real racing harnesses and have them installed by a real professional! This is what I plan on doing in the very near future. We have an awesome place in Saginaw that does a lot of professional safety equipment. You may or may not have seen or heard of TeamTech, but I'm going to have them install some of their harnesses in my vert after I design and install a harness bar.

Just some food for thought. Keep searching and keep learning.

Honestly, I don't know if it's dangerously unsafe if you install them correctly and buy decent straps. You have to remember that most of the cheap harnesses you find on ebay and ricer shops are probably made in China. The quality of the straps and metal connectors is questionable. Now if you were to buy some good quality, bolt-in 4-point harnesses and bolted them into factory mounting locations (like ther rear seatbelt points and the side mounts under the carpet from when your vert used to be a coupe) you shouldn't worry about it too much. However, you are modifying an extremely important safety feature. Your life could depend on the quality of these parts and how well they are installed.

Ask Loki how important they are.

i got coupe doors for my vert. they're an easy bolt up. as far as wiring goes, ive got the harnesses from both. but i'm probably gonna go with painless wiring and do away with it all anyway during my swap.

the wonderful folks here already told u what to dobut if not, feel free to shoot me an email if you have any more questions

my opinion (i did it on my car)get a good car friend and have him help u do it. yes it takes a couple hours, but its definitely worth it. in terms of theory, its not easy at all, but the convertible door is f*****ing heavy!!!you will cut out 80 pounds of weight by putting on coupe doors, only problem is u need new seatbelts.. i just went with sparco harnesses

just throwing in my 2 cents since so many ppl helped me out with the same situation

90% of the reason I did the door mod was to get rid of that godforsaken pillar.

if you don't want to get rid of the pillar, then don't do anything.
