Just curious, how hard is the door panel swap exactly, and what parts do i need?

If i get the panel skin from a coupe, is that all i need? Also, if i got coupe full doors, ive heard that the window would need to be swapped out with the original? Is this true?

Ive read a few threads where people had problems getting the panels to fit properly... and the write-up thread showing how to do it isn't exactly noob friendly. Any tips beforehand are appreciated.

Swapping the full door is certainly easier than hacking the old door apart to fit the hard top inner panels. If you go that route, be sure to order new door pins and bushings for the hinge as the old ones will have a lot of excess play in them from the heavier vert door. Anyone switching windows are doing so to retain power windows as it's typical to pick up manual doors on the cheap.

Shouldnt be that hard to find... people gut these cars all the time... i found these in a day for $80 for the pair and they are in mint shape. You wanting to swap panels, or complete doors?

Looks good so far! Be sure to trim the rear interior panel a bit. Mine ended up making making a tiny crease in my door panels, which has been annoying me for 6 years now.

Too late. It put a tiny rip in my new panel first time i closed the door haha. So small it wont bother me though, ill trim it down this weekend.

Unless your doors are in terrible shape, why swap complete doors?

I was a little hesitant at first, but the panel swap was incredibly easy to do.

I honestly think cutting the doors instead of swapping them is the easier solution. Took me an an hour and a half to cut both doors and put coupe/hatch panels on. Would have been quicker too if the write up wasn't incomplete.

Yeah i found the write-up to be pretty crappy.

It took me about three hours to do the one side... but we used the s***, smallest grinder ever, and broke some plastic clips we had to replace.

I'm still proudly rocking vert door panels.

Nasty.

They really are junk... and insanely heavy. Mine had a few cracks, but the part that would annoy me the most were the velcro pieces making noise while driving. So annoying.

Im looking for some bucket seats now, im going to do street legal harnesses instead of cutting up my rear panels.

Doing the full doot swap is a waste! Unless your doors are in terrible shape.

I paid $80 for the coupe door panels in this picture
