Is there any alarm made out there for our coups that would disengage when we push the button on the door to open it and vice versa when we push it to lock it.

Hornet makes one, its an alarm thats meant to be added to factory keyless entry. I had one way back in the day. You can add various sensors to them, but wiring it up yourself would be a nightmare. But essentially it did what you're looking for. It armed with the lock button on the keyfob and disarmed when you unlocked via the keyfob. I'm sure the buttons on the door are more than likely on the same page but don't quote me 100% on that.

Like I said it wasn't a super great alarm, but it would go off it someone bumped the car, or opened the door/trunk and stuff.

Hah! found it on their website! http://www.hornetcarsecurity.c...D=805

I'm sure other companies make them too, but I guess really and truly as they put it, its an upgrade alarm for your oem keyless entry.

I'll ask my custom shop tomorrow.... it may be possible with other alarms, but it would take askilled installer to do the job... what you are asking for, vonvivo, is EXACTLY what I wanted to do wit my aftermarket alarm, but I was told it was not possible

Thats the basic reason why I have no interest in an alarm at the moment. The whole point of the ikey is so you don't have a janitors keychain and hundreds of keys to carry around. My keychain consists of the ikey and my one house key, and I want it to stay that way.
