Does anyone here like country or hate it with a passion. Lately I've been listening to it a lot, more than other types of music. For parties and such, country just doesn't work too well, but for listening to, I love it. It's so easy listening and so many points behind the songs. Not just, I knocked up a biatch or I got 100 biatches to choose from. I went to Countryfest in Saratoga Springs (NY) and it was awesome. I'm probably gonna get so much shiat from this, but just curious what you guys listen to or don't listen to.

Yeah I listen to it all the time. Its funny when im at a light and I got country music going, even funnier when I turn the bass on. some peoples reaction. I think its stupid the people that say they dont like it cause its "cool" not too. But I grew up with it and am not ashamed lol :)

I hate old country, but the stuff produced today is very very good. It's got a poppier beat than the old stuff, and it just sounds good. And heres something amazing, you know all the words they sing. :pface

People get into the Q with me, expecting an asian like myself to listen to techno or acid jazz or something.

Then they hear George Strait blaring and look at me with complete shock and confusion.

I listen to country music almost exclusively anymore. I agree that most of the lyrics have meaning behind them and its easy listening

I've started to be a real fan of country...I dated a couple country girls and picked up a taste for it :) Its good though, I know what they are saying! I typically like alternative/rock, but sometimes I haven't a clue what they are saying. I detest rap since its not "music" in my opinion and it doesn't have any kind of catchy tune. Country has a catchy tune and I can sing along to it, I'm likin it!

Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw!!! mmm...sometimes I'm a country gal...just depends on the mood. My ex got me really liking country a lot...but the 1st time I actually listened to it, my friend made me memorize the words to "Something Like That" (u know...the barbeque stain song hehe) since then, I sorta fell in.

HAHA Barbeque stain is the song.

I had that blaring one night and these two girls next to me started making fun of me. I had a bad night so I kept my cool, took off at the green and flipped them off. They never caught up. :) I gotta defend my country music.

I like country a lot and I like lots of other music genres as well. I prolly listen to more country than anything. I just think it is hilarious when I am rolling into a car show or out of a car show and I have something such as George Strait or Kenny Chesney blaring cause I get a lot of funny looks but I think it is funny cause I like it and I don't care hehe.

Oh and my favorite is Martina Mcbride cause she can belt out the tunes and is super hot!

never pegged you for the country fan...

one of my first albums was the CDB though, so I guess most wouldn't guess me a fan either. Down here it grows on you like a cancer though.

I tell ya, that song by Buddy Jewell, Help Pour the Rain, that's a helluva song right there.

even if you don't like country, I suggest you download it and not feel happy/sad from it. Very touching, especially the way he got his contract, Nashville Star, the country version of American Idol. He wrote the song after having a conversation with his little girl.
