Im going on vacation and after about a year of collecting parts Im finally going to start the actual swap part of my swap. Im putting a RB20DET in my S14. I have some quick questions before I begin though. Does anyone else have a CF hood and did you use any extra heat shielding and if not did you notice any yellowing or warping. Is it easier to do the swap with the fenders, bumper and hood off or since I'm using the smic just the drivers fender. I am going to have to dent the firewall? Where is a good place for the temp sender for my water temp gauge? Will it be all right to run it with the stock cat till I can get a catco or test pipe? OK so I have a lot of questions. Thanks for any help and heres what I got so far. http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/...16396

take the hood off.

removing the fendor may make the SMIC instal a little easier, but it can be done with out removing it

Are you using a mount kit? That is going to determine what you need to dent.

temp sensor- use the search button. There are several options, so you should read and pick which one is best for you.

cat- get a big hammer and a pipe and beat out the inside of the cat until you can replace it. better to be safe.
