That is awesome! I wonder what kind of body kit is on that F50. I'm not a mercedez-grill fan, that this semi-mercedez affect looks unique.

And to think that they're doing away with the Q45 model after the current generation is a big marketing mistake...

They're not doing away with the Q

They are bringing it back, better then ever.

Complete revamp of the Infiniti line, starting with the new M. Continueing to the Q, then the next GTR

Has this been officially confirmed anywhere? I heard it from Maxnix once, but that's it. My guess is that the Q may go on vacation for a year or so, and then come back as a larger, more luxury oriented, more expensive model. Nissan has some history of this with sending the 300Z away for a while, and then reinventing it as the 350Z.

Same with the G20, which disappeared for a while for a makeover. Hmmm... I hope thats the case. I'd be heartbroken if the Q was gone for good.

Yes, but you'll have to dig for it.

Carlos Ghoshn has confirmed the Q coming back, better then ever.

That car is bomb as .... . The body kit, etc. is by Insurance, one of the premier VIP tuners.

I don't think the Q is going away. I love all three generations. Each is unique in it's own way, each is an awesome car.

Danny of Grubbs says the Q model designation for the large luxury sedan is officially dead after the 2005 model. It will continue for the QX56, but the sedan replacement will be known as something else becasuse of hthe bad sales history of the Q. Go figure.

Maybe "they" are not Nissan?

We'll see.

As long as they have a lux sedan, I'll be happy.

Indeed, its not all about the brand name. After all, my next lust object is an 03 M45.

I agree with Brian.

And I think the best way for the next Q to look low without being low, is with a body thats shaped with more creases so it visually seems longer and shorter without having to be longer or shorter.

Sounds like I'm describing the 1990-1996 Q45. :pface

Infiniti should just go and buy that rights to the Insurance body kit and call it the 2005 Q45! Put that skin on the current Q wit the engine/drivetrain and interior and you'd have a winner.

That F50 is nuttin' but;

Uhhhhhh,

Uhhhhh,

Uhhh,

Oh God,

I love you so much....................

Now go make me a sandwich.

However, I hate to admit it fellas, but I have a short term, long term goal. A good friend has a newly acquired, leased, 04 E55 AMG.

The residual value in May, 07 is less than 40k.

12.5(?) 1/4 mile, 469hp...........?

He has *promised* to get with me first before turning it in.

By hook or by crook, I'm going to be in a position to accept or decline.

100% in agreement! That would be the most awesome stock set-up of any luxury make. But then again, it wouldn't appeal to the general public to increase sales. Just sell that kit as part of the NISMO performance line, and it will sell...

Well, I promise it would do just fine on the real world streets of Los Angeles which suck.

Maybe you and Jesda haven't driven dropped cars before. I've lowered just about every car I've had (including my wife's car) and loved every one of them. The only problem areas I've ever encountered is you gotta slow for speed bumps (duh), potholes and rail road tracks < all of which you should slow down for anyhow.

That car posted above is in Japan where streets are much smooter. And it's a car whose owner would probably take caution with because it's such a beautiful car.

My parents were just in town for 5 days, and with all of us in my 2" lowered Q there were no complaints, just praise at what a nice car I have and how nice it drives (mom has a Lexus, dad a BMW).

After getting in the car at the valet of El Coyote, I was suprised at the number of people in line for their cars who were checking out mine. Keep in mind, we were in a trendy, high-end part of L.A. where every other car is expensive and German, which made it that much cooler (at least to me since I tend to think most people around here are snobs). They all had this look, like "dang, what is that? I like it!"

I don't know, to each his/her own. I love low cars, and I can't imagine streets much worse than here. I lived in Louisiana and Maryland before coming here and the streets were infinitly better. The only thing I can compare the streets here to is D.C. Except L.A. is like 200x the size of D.C. so if you've been to either place, you know what I mean.

Back to the topic at hand, that F50 roxors :ylsuper

Thats what I absolutely love about cars that are unique. They provoke curiosity (the good kind) and find ways to draw attention in a tasteful manner.

Side note: I tend to fly over speed bumps. :pface

Well Peeps Survived Hurricane Charlie, wasnt as bad as I had thought 105 mph here in orlando, had my garage door open to do some video filming, Q was sleeping in the garage...LOL the eye came right thru my area, but i live in a newer housing area and not much damage here, alot of trees got blown over, screen porches, overall not to bad as some areas near the coast....

but to the subject at hand....been checking out the stats on the Q sales and it doesnt look good especially when the m45 out sold the Q by more than 50%.... with losses like that Nissan will find it hard to continue making it, so be prepared we might be the oly Q survivors around...with the sale of the new pimp mobile the chrysler 300, man that thing is tight especially with some 20", and at a tune of $23000 the Q cant touch that.... I know it might not be a good comparison, but that why many more m45 were sold, hell same v8 engine for 20k less I would of bought one too... Now the new m45 aka fuga when it comes out will be a seller, especially if nissan keeps pricing reasonably low to get the market going....if I was Nissan I would do with the m45 that chrysler did with the new 300... price it cheap to generate sales and interest... for the Q it will be along time b4 it comes back out of the hole.... sales are slowy going down the drain, Nissan will have no choice but to pull the plug on it.... once again this is just my opinion, but check the numbers for yourself and if you were a businessman then we will have to say bye to the Q, but were lucky that we already have one of the finest cars ever built for it's value.....

oh yeah, bought my son a 1990 CRX, so now were in the honda ranks as well, but the Q still rcks... this little thing moves... will help him build it up, got it for 1G, put a new head gasket in it and a new radiator, otherwise it came with I/H/E not bad for 1G....

well peeps still keeping Q45 Performance & Racing alive.... TeamQracing.com also just gave the models their own site TeamQmodels.com under construction, due to Tire Rack affiliate agreement not having links to models Sites.....

Hey man, long time no see! Good to hear you survived mother nature's nightmare.

I'm not too concerned with the M outselling the Q, since most smaller vehicles outsell their larger siblings anyway. Its true for BMW, MB, and Acura. I guess the only noteworthy exception is Cadillac; 40% of their sales are full-size Devilles. But the difference is that their largest vehicle isnt at all their most expensive.
