Ok first off id like to thank any and all for any help/insight you can give me. I am thinking about getting into drifting. ( oh and sorry if i put this in the wrong spot...) but yeah im looking to start drifting eventually. I need some insight and maybe some help on parts that im looking at getting. I will put someof the items i plan on getting i would like to hear what yall think about it. i am new to the nissan's i was originally a honda man. so here are my ideas.

Car:1990 240sx (base model, thinking about stripping the interior.)

Motor:looking to go SR20DETmaybe rb20 (ive done a little research going to do more. but i dont know yet)

suspension:Tein superdrift (just bought)

Rims size:thinking 17x9

Exhaust:HKS HI-POWER EXHAUST: 240SX 89-94

turbo HKS GT SPORT TURBO UPGRADE (SR20DET)

s13 or s14 front end conversion kit. maybe might keep it usdm not sure... not a humungus fan of the flip up lights... they look funny but i have seen some clean looking 240's dont know yet.

cant really think about too much more right now.

That civic is up for trade too! let me know if you are interested.

You dont need any of that stuff to drift. Get a Kazz 2 way LSD befor you get anything, you can pick them up for about 850 shipped on ebay. Just make sure you break the LSD in first. After you learn the basics of how to handle the 240 in a slide you can do your swap and whatnot. Again, you dont need power to drift, especialy if your a beginer.

A SR swap will balance out your car a little beter, getting your weight distribution closer to 50/50 front and rear. The USDM model is a little front heavy due to the iorn block. The SR has an aluminum block and is much lighter.

As for the rest of it its up to you, if you have the cash go nuts. Hope this helps.

thanks, it just so happens that my suspension is blown on my car right now. hitting a bump makes it feel like i am in a boat just keeps rocking, so i went ahead and bought new suspension. probably went a little overboard but i went with the Tein superdrift suspension. but then ill probably buy an LSD i heard cusco is pretty good. but its about a grand. i dont know yet, ima start learning how to drift soon as i get my suspension put on. But thanks for post ima probably post some more pics of my car today or tomorrow after work.https://www.vitalchek.com/homepage.asp?clicked=1
