Nissan posted this partial image on its Facebook page. Referring to it as the "Resonance Concept", it certainly looks like the successor to the current-generation Murano.

Thoughts?

I like it! I think it looks sort of like a Land Rover Evoque. I doubt the roof line will be that low but it is a concept.

One thing I'm not liking that Nissan has been doing is having the tail lights wrap around the side of the car. Some look like they have more red on the side than the actual back.

Here is a pic of the original Murano Concept.

It came out close but the roof is so much higher in the production model... unfortunately. I truly love the 1st Gen and almost dislike the 2nd Gen.

Let's hope it looks close to the concept. :)

Resonance concept revealed a few hours ago at Detroit Auto Show. I'm not too crazy about the spaceship look but the production model will likely look less extreme, and most important is the powertrain and features. It's almost gauranteed that the next-gen Murano will have a hybrid electric option which I think is great IF they can do it affordably. If the cost is too high then its irrelevant how great the powertrain is....cost of components such as Lithion Ion batteries have dropped significantly over the past few years so I'm hopeful the hybrid model will be affordable, and the same goes for the next-gen Rogue due out in 2014:

I like it! Too much glass for my taste and the dash reminds me of a late 70s Panasonic radio, but overall it's pretty slick.

The video (from July) mentioned that numbers for fuel economy and pricing weren't yet released. In case anyone's curious, I found them here: http://autos.jdpower.com/research/Nissa ... /index.htm

Thanks, but I think those figures are based on the previous model. The MPG's listed clearly are incorrect, as the new version should get 20% better fuel economy over the outgoing model.
