I starting hearing a pop over and over when I would come to a stop. So I figured it was the ball joint....it wasnt

I replaced the ball joint and the Tie rod.

But when I leave my driveway (has a dip at the end) it pops, when I go over a speed bump it pops. And when im coming to a stop it pops.Only on the right side though. The tension rod bushing is worn but its not leaking. So I dont know. Thanks in advance.

i had the same problem, it was on the front pass side, i replaced all bushings with a whiteline kit, and also got spl tension rods with solid bushings and it stopped, so it was deffinetaly a bushing issue

I have a similar problem. I get the popping noise only during hard turns though. I'm 'thinking' outer tie rods, but I have no clue. Also, if you grab one of the wheels and try to turn it manually you can hear the popping noise on the passenger side.

If it pops when turning, I'm willing to bet your front strut mounts are bad and/or loose.

If it pops going straight over bumps, your springs may not be seated correctly in the strut perches.

how would I seat them correctly...I did take them off when I did my ball joint. welll wait actually it was popping before that. nevermind.

What do I look for to see if it was seated right. It doesnt pop when im turning. But if im going in a straight line if I jerk the wheel to the left the car feels like it gonna lift up unlike if I didit the right it feels nice and tight. Hope that makes sense. Thanks

There is a rubber piece that fits over both exposed ends of the spring that sit in the perches, although that will cause more of a squeak if missing than a pop.

I don't know how to describe how to get the spring to seat correctly...it just goes into the groove on the perch, but sometimes when you are compressing the spring back down, it turns itself out of the perch seat and then it isn't seated correctly anymore.

Check the top nut on the strut and make sure it is tight. Check your tension rods for any play. As for the instability when turning to the left, it sounds almost like a blown strut being unable to dampen the spring.
