I have a couple problems w/ my clutch/transmission. I'm thinking it could possibly have something to do with my slave cylinder but I'm not sure. For one, the clutch doesn't engage until the pedal is almost fully let out. I know if the disc is in backwards it would also do this, so I'm not sure....The other symptom is after I have been driving the car a while, the clutch doesn't grab worth CRAP. I'll put it in gear, any gear it does this, and push on the gas to accelerate. Instead of accelerating the RPM's rise to about 3k and stay there until the rest of stuff kinda catches up to it. Its strange, and its pissing me off. Do you have any idea's?

Edit: by the way, the clutch is BRAND NEW. Its an ACT Street with like 500 miles, if that. I had it put in when my 5spd swap was done.

something is going on in the clutch area slave would not cause it to have a high pedal. it would be oppisite if it was the slave. If you just had someone install this for you I would be headin back to have them fix their F-up. sounds like either the pressure plate isnt bolted down right or as you said clutch plate in backwards. when you added this clutch plate did you add the pressure plate too?

Yes, everything that has to do with the clutch was brand new. A brand new ACT Street. We are going to swap my transmission's out here soon (long story) so we were going to check and make sure the disc is in right, so I guess we will also check to make sure that the pressure plate is bolted down correctly. I dont know why any of this wouldnt' be correct though, because the guy that did the swap is a Nissan Master Tech. Doesn't mean he can't make a mistake though. I had the swap done in July, drove the car for like 2-3 weeks, then got in my accident. Ever since I got the car back from getting swapped it would do this, so its something wrong with the install, I know it is. The only thing is, I dont know if the guy that did the swap is going to help me out since it was so long ago and I have already driven the car about 500 miles since it was swapped.
