could install the VQ35HR from AWD car in 08 350z RWD?

I have a 2008 350z nismo with VQ35HR engine. the motor is blown. Found a VQ35HR AWD engine from a 2007 Infinity G35.
Could i install the VQ35HR from the infinity into my 350z?
The guy who is selling the engine said it is possible and i need to switch out the oil pan.
I also spoke to a nissan tech and he said it is possible as well.. he not 100% sure.. he also said to switch out the oil pan.

Will it works? PLEASE HELP

I've seen something similar done with a 350Z getting a transplanted engine and drivetrain from an old G35X, so I'm sure it's possible. I've not seen it done with the HR though. That Z had to utilize the X's drivetrain so it became an automatic transmission by default, so be prepared to have go with whatever transmission is coming from that donor G35.

No idea what kind of fabrication issues you might run into either, but I'm really interested to see how this turns out! Keep us posted!

if you can do some work yourself...
get the ECU, trans, differentials, drive shafts...the whole power terrain unit from him... If he can make you a good deal on a package...

then build an AWD 350z... u could just install it without the front diff as RWD and when u get the funds to custom work the front end to install the front diff..then go AWD

I have ur answer.. just swap sub pan and lower pan from ur 350z hr... since the fromt axles go thru the pan.... I did it when I installed a 08 awd hr into my s13... I bought the pans new from nissan and it worked....

Going through the same issue I have a seized vq35hr
Obviously need a RWD But very hard to come by if I would be able to switch out the pans then I have my solution but need to know for sure I DONT NEED AWD just need my engine swapped for the similar vq35hr that’s a vin B need answers on this thread if any help
