You never called the police for a report and intervention ??. You are asking about lawsuits, somewhat complicated legal procedure. Good luck.

I know cuz i was little did dumb things just cuz i was bored...But guess what my parents taught me and tossed me around for doing that dumb ****..Some one needs to teach these kids about respecting other peoples property

here's what I would do. First pay someone to take out those kids with a high powered fully auto airsoft gun, jus put welts all over those bastards. Make em feel the pain you felt. Then get the est and slam it on the dad. Then if he wont pay take him to court, or kick his *** or **** his **** up. Jus be sure to give those kids whats comin to em. Little ****s. Yea and be sure to file police report and take pics

I've seen kids do dumb stuff, specially lately thanks to the internet. But never, actually come on to private property and comit vandalism for no reason WHILE the owners are within close range. Dumb criminals ??, maybe. Sign of times ?, yes. What I'm trying to say here is there is more to the story (on their side...), mental problems, prior criminal record, devil worshippers, too much GTA 4.....?? the posibilities are endless....

Go to a body shop and get a quote for the repairs then bring this to him and ask him to pay for it. If he refuses, take his worthless *** to small claims court and let the legal system take its course.

Did you consider Judge Judy ?I can see a good case here. Get the police report and estimates, than take the father to Judge Judy for some humiliation.

i agree with some of the guys in here. Tell the guy that you'll call the cops, and file charges for vandelism if he doesn't reimburse you for fixing your car. labor and all . . . yes even for fixing the clip

The police report has been filed this morning just to update everyone who doesn't feel like reading everything. I took it to a body shop called Mr. T's and told them the story. Mr T's is pretty expensive and I was hoping they would try to over charge me. They said the dent could be pulled out but they paint would be cracked and chipped, so I would have to re paint the back. The cost for that plus labor would be just a little over $200. Re painting it I would probably just go to Maaco and pay any where from $250-$1000 and it could be a pretty ****ty paint job. And that is if I do all the prep work myself. They suggested that I go to a junky yard to find a new spoiler because this one is cracked all the way through and would "be a waste of money, and I don't want to waste your money" to fix it. So I think I'm out on that... so I'll go to a junk yard to get a new spoiler and primer and paint it.

The final quote is a little over $200 for fixing my trunk. There is a spoiler online that is almost like mine that is $177. And the paint job for just my trunk any where from $250-500. For the entire car anywhere from $500-1000 not including prep work which maaco doesn't do. I have a written statement from the shop saying how much it will cost to fix.

I tried stopping by the house a few hours ago but nobody was home so it's tomorrows time.

the downside of going to judge judy of course being that YOU have to be on judge judy. That woman is just evil, plus I hear her wailing screams are so high pitched and of the correct frequency as to cause dolphins to attack and eat small children. I'm just a kid you know, I dont need that in my life.

So I believe this should be the final update.

I wasn't ever able to hand the quotes personally to the father, so I had called the officer that was involved with the case and he made an appearance on the door step and handed him them with the letter I had written saying along the lines of "This is the amount I was quoted to fix the damages done to my vehicle by your children. I would appreciate if you would reimburse me for my losses. We can do this of two ways. You know where I live so you can stop by with the amount as cash, or we can settle this in civil court. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely Jeremy" it was something like that I cant remember the entire thing. So this morning at 8am I have a knock on my door and I go to answer it to see the father standing there with his check book.

I was kind of shocked to see him and was about to let him write me a check for the amount but forgot i had said cash only. He leaves to go back to his house and I see him leave so I figured he was going to work, but just 10 mins ago he knocks on my door again with the money in cash He finally apoligized to me for his kids actions and said he didn't want this to get out of hand by taking it to court.

So thanks to you NICO I was able to take your advice and get it taken care of peacefully and quickly. And I forget who said it but someone told me to get the most expensive quote I could I had ended up with a partial paint job for the trunk to semi match the rest of the car a nice gloss pewter. With prep work was $350 if I go there to re paint the rest of the car I'll get a discount on it. So I ended up waking up today to have almost $700 given to me because of some kids a couple days ago

Thanks again NICO for the advice given!

Nicely done. This shows that it pays (literally) to keep a cool head. Revenge of the sort that you want to dish out and they deserve would have only hindered your case. Besides you don't want to start a vandalism war between neighbors. I've seen them, they aren't pretty, and no one really wins.

that was me, ill take my 10% cut straight to my paypal, or you can send it to me in p0rn, either way.

glad you got it settled, and will be able to recoup your losses. bet those kids got a lesson in being dumb$hits by their dad. $700 is quite a bit for a parent to spend for their kids being retarded. im sure he thinks different of his "fun and games" remark now.

Go file a police report right now get off nico and do it. Being that the kids are under 18 its the parents responsibility. If you have BEFORE picture of your car that would help a lot also. Get a quote from the most expensive plan you can find also. Sometimes you can get payed out for your time also.
