All injectors ohm test at 12 ohm except injector 7, which is 50 ohm.

Idle quality is poor, but at full throttle, cylinder 7 fires strong and healthy.

Injector 7 is beneath the intake, and very difficult to replace. Could the problem be partially resolved with a flush? I theorize that because of the high electrical resistance, the injector doesn't have the "punch" to push through the dirt and debris built up within the injector over the years, and that if it were flushed, it could produce sufficient flow to improve idle quality.

It won't hurt anything. If you still have to replace #7 at least the other 7 injectors will be clean when their new neighbor moves in.

Did you read the injector itself or through the harness? If through the harness, at least jiggle the connector to make sure it isn't just a bad contact.Internal resistance anomalies cannot be fixed with a chemical flush, but it will help remove varnish.

What should a good injector read? 12 ohms?

Just about. Plus or minus a few ohms for measurement errors and normal variance from unit to unit.

If you get all eight to read between 10 to 14 (or 15) ohms, that is way good enough - others may chime in with better comments. It is the shorted ones and very high resistance ones you have to worry about.
