I did a headgasket back in january but 2 months ago i've noticed liquied along the side of my exhaust manifold from front to back. Could part of the gasket leak coolant through but still not cause the car to over heat? *sigh* it's probalby the head gasket but I just want to make sure. But there's also the same liquid above where the head and block meets, somewhere near the valve cover. I should try to redo my valve cover gasket to make sure.

I freaked when about a week after my 2nd hg swap in a row, mine started leaking as well. THen I realized it was the valve cover gasket. This is VERY common, so I imagine you are fine, it is just the valve cover.

maybe the valve cover gaskets we have doesnt really work? =[ Oh well time to buy a new one. Yeah i was thinking why would it be the headgasket, if it was wouldn't I be overheating like crazy.

It could be the valve cover gaskets, althought I'm not sure why they would be leaking coolant.

I've had a headgasket leak coolant from inbetween the block and head before without overheating. It was on my honda though. One of the silicone rings around the coolant port in the gasket was pushed off and started leaking. That's at least what the mechanic told me since this happened 4 years ago.

I've got a leaking HG as well. It's minor though. The combustion chambers seal up just fine, and I don't have any mixing oil and water. But back in the very rear corner on the exhaust side, when the oil pressure gets over about 15psi, it'll slowly leak oil.

That's what I get for not using a Nissan HG.

Which BTW, for everybody info, there is only one CA18DE HG from Nissan available in the entire US. I think it's in Cali.

Oh damn, re-read that....leaking coolant ... that isn't going to come out from the valve cover. That sucks man...
