check to make sure your bov is hooked up properly. i has to have a threeway between the wastegate actuator, the bov, and the pronges or whatever theyre called on the intake manifold. sounds to me like you have a problem with turbo creep. when you step on it from a low cruising rpm, like 2000 in 3rd gear, does it still lag like a *****? it could be because your idle air control valve is not set right and your tps(throttle position sensor) could be off too. sometimes it wont tell your engine that its actually wide open throttle, and it will lag. also, the bov should only work when there isnt any pressure. thats when it opens. like when you step on it, it closes (thats why it goes silent) then when you let off, it release the minimal amount of air out.

I have never heard of someone teeing from the fpr, but...

I am assuming you have already adjusted the BOV.

If you have a BOV that is stuck open the car will act like it has a vacuum leak. If you think the valve is stuck or dirty you could spray some WD 40 or carb cleaner and it will loosen.

I had to clean out my Apexi unit and I feel like it doesn't open well enough as well. I am just waiting to go to a recirculated setup. I want my gas mileage and idle back.

I would imagine the recirculated unit would still have some issues if it were left open...but I would think that the car would just act like it didn't have a BOV at all.

I connected my BOV with one of the nipples coming off of my throttle body. it was one of the ones that was blowing when you uncap it. it works fine there. But I remember my s13 blacktop was visually different. the nipple I connected to on that one was smaller than the one on the s14 motor.

a non-recirculated BOV will drop the idle but it should go right back up if you dont stall. I am not sure about the stock BOV so I guess I am no help...i just know I plan on getting a different unit in the near future.

Check your fuel sock. i was having similar problems with the bogging and not boosting, my car was hitting a fuel cut.
