Wow...that sounds like an expensive proposition!! There are a few techs on the board that might know if it's possible.

Swapping to an automatic transmission wont make your G35 all wheel drive. Youd have to swap the drivetrain, and idk much about how that works. I also dont know if it would fit, because the sedan chassis is longer than on the coupe, but again, i dont know how that works.

You would probably be able to use the 6speed transmission from your coupe (assuming thats what you have), in the AWD layout, but ill let sombody who knows more answer this.

Good luck with the swap.

Man you are looking at spending a fortune on this thing!!! I think a JDM company took a skyline GTS and made it into AWD, but I think they had to custom fabricate pretty much the entire drivetrain. Not sure which drivetrain they used, but it was most probably one transplanted from a GTR-34.

All that being said, I'm not even sure if a G35x drivetrain transplant is even feasible...then again, I'm not a mechanic on the level of Infinitech or some the others on the site.

Well as they say anything is possible with enough money, I havent looked at a AWD Sedan so im not sure on the config, but I know for certain the sedan is longer so that means you would have to have a custom driveshaft, the easiest way i would see for it to work would be to take the entire AWD motor transmission assembly and swap it into a 04 coupe, but even then you may still have to custom fab mounts for the motor. and clearence may be a issue. You would also need suspension as the AWD is different from the RWD. I would say find someone with a 04 AWD and a 04 coupe and compare. but you will have to look at EVERYTHING...

Contrary from my first post, you could always just buy a G35x (AWD), and swap it to a 6speed, if the transmission will bolt right up.
