cost of KA install sohc or dohc?

I was just wondering how much KA engines go for (sohc or dohc) and install? (89-94 240sx) Also how much would it be to swap an auto trans. to a 5 speed trans? I know that there are many variables that effect the price, but I just wanted to know what prices everyone else is getting.Thanks Koupe.

It probably wouldn't be hard to get a manual trans w/ the engine (along w/ all the plumbing/wiring). But i've heard ppl getting trans from $50-However much the monkey is charging... Permitted that you can't get it w/ the engine for cheaper, which would just be really really strange to me.

IMO, the most costly part is installing it professionally if you can't do it yourself ($1000), or so i've heard. Check around for pricing.

ive bought 2. I bought a 91 de for $100 off a friend.. had to help him pull it. Sitting stripped in my grandpa's garage in Indiana waiting for some lovin. And I bought a whole wrecked 1990 240 from some chick that was hard up for cash. thats the engine thats in my car. if you have an 89-90 240 and want dohc (90-98) then make sure that you buy the engine, engine harness, manual ecu, and manual transmission.
