I'm in the market for another 240SX--some sort of addiction. Right now nothing is really appealing to me on the market on Autotrader or eBay that is manual (I have yet to check the forums here). So my question is, for those of you who would know more than I do about the issue, how much would it cost for me to install a new transmission into a 240SX, I'm probably going to be buying a S14, but I doubt that has any significance towards the end price.

I plan to stick with the KA (Mmm torque), so a new engine as part of the cost should be excluded as I won't be getting one.

The cost of the transmission alone could cost anywhere from $400, to around a grand, you'll need trasmission mounts, it will be alot cheaper for you to do it your self, if thats what you're lanning to do. It shouldnt cost you more than a grand to do it if you're not planning any performance mods when you swat the transmission.

Here is my Talley:Flywheel (Fidanza 11 lb) - 350Clutch (stocker) - 125Tranny Junkyard special) - 125Driveshaft - 50Pedals - 75Misc Stuff (Fluid, Bolts Etc.) - 50

So about $750 on the low end.
