i found a junk yard that had like 8+ good salvagable 95 + 240sx and i asked them for a 5 speed changeover but they said 1000 bucks for it. man what do you think is a good price for the whole change over including the trans? so i can try to bargain with them.

You could piece it together for $500-700...probably easier to talk them down to ~$800 and get is all from one car.

I sold most of the parts for like $200 or less. Prices are high because people have something up their butt when they go to sell their used decade old crap. I just don't care that much, now somebody else can enjoy a m/t.

well if you found a true junkyard then suck it up and strip the parts yourself... tell them 500 and you'll pull the parts...

I just bought the swap parts here out of a junkyard for the S13 for $375 I pulled them. Here's what I got:Trans AssyECUCrossmemberWiring HarnessBrake PedelClutch PedelTrans Mount (but ordered NISMO)Clutch Assy (but ordered new)StarterHard LinesMaster CylinderDriveshaft

During the swap I also replaced both front and rear trans seals, rear main crank seal, and resurfaced flywheel. After everything I probally got about $700 in the swap including new parts.

I swapped the auto in my 96 for $300. That was the cost of the driveshaft (which will be a real ***** to find cuz u can't use the s13 one, and the s14 abs and non abs are different), speed sensor, master and pedals (S14 different than s13)

Then i bought a real ****box of a s13 240 for $200, stripped the manual parts and sold it to a freind for $200.

So yea there are ways to do it cheap, (This being from a canadian where fully rusted out s13 240 will still sell for $1500)

I HAVE A S13 THAT I AM CURRENTLY SWAPPIN THE AUTO FOR AMANUAL. I FOUND THE transmission ON THE MESSAGE BOARDS FOR 300 INCLUDING PEDALS HARD LINES BACKING PLATE WIRING AND ECU. I BOUGHT THE SLAVE CYL MASTER CYL AND OEM FLYWHEEL FOR ANOTHER 100 NEW FROM O'RILEYS. I FOUND THE CENTER CONSOLE AND ENTIRE SHIFT HOUSING AT A LOCAL JUNKYARD FOR 20.00. (THAY HAD THE ENTIRE MANUAL SWAP THERE) MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS LOCATING MISC. NUTS & BOLTS FOR THE FLYWHEEL & SHIFETR HOUSING. I BOUGHT NEW CLUTCH OFF OF EBAY FOR 100 AND NISMO transmission MOUNT FOR 50. THIS SHOULD LAST ME UNTIL I FIGURE OUT IF I WANT TO DO A SR/RB SWAP OR TURBO MY KA

question about the abs drive shaft, is the abs drive shaft shorter or longer cuz, my car i bought for this guy has abs but he stuck a s14 engine and i dont know if it has the s14 drive shaft or the s13 but when i was looking at it it was hanging way past the transmission sprocket or what ever it's called.
