Depends on what you want (completely stock, some upgrades, lots of upgrades, etc.) and whether or not you do it yourself. If you go the cheapest route of completely stock, I'd get a clip that comes with the SR radiator and fuel pump, bc the KA ones aren't going to cut it. I my experience S13 blacktop motorsets range in price from $2000-$3000 shipped, and clips from $2500-$3500 shipped. Some have gotten for less from friends, specials, whatever. If you want someone to install it for you expect b/t $500-$1200. It can be done for ~$3-4k no problem for stockish install.

You're welcome. The more you can spend the better though (obviously) and I don't just mean for more power. I also mean more reliability. Mine will be a DD, so it's getting all new seals and gaskets except for a head gasket, alum radiator, new water/fuel pumps, etcetera.

Well while you have the motor out it would be a good idea to replace the front and rear main seals and transmission rear seal (cheap and easy to get to when motor/transmission are out), water pump, all belts and hoses, thermostat, plugs, upgrade the radiator (don't have to but I would), if you don't get an SR fuel pump (some clips have them) then you'll need a Walbro or equivalent bc the KA one won't cut it, make sure the SR oil pan is not dented! If it is, get a new one and check to see if you need a new pick up as well, new clutch. Really depends on your budget, but I would also do: any and all gaskets you can easily replace (valve cover, intake mani, exhaust mani, etc.), head gasket requires new head studs, decking head, etc so unless you have the money don't worry about it unless it leaks. If you do have to do the HG or opt to, I would go ahead and replace the timing kit and oil pump assembly, slave cylinder, new temp sensors (for cluster and ECU), O2 sensor, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge, turbo timer. Lots of stuff you could do but at least do the first few I mentioned until I said, "Really depends on...". Should be good then. Check the forum as well for more advice on the matter.

If your doing it yourself, give yourself a comfortable spending amount of $4500. That'll get a good Front Clip/Motorset, FMIC, Intake, Full Exhaust, Fuel Pump, Clutch, and Miscellaneous other things.

I have heard nothing but good from Heavy Throttle. You get the whole swap package with everything you could want and would have to upgrade for under 5K I believe. If I decide on a SR this will be the route I am taking

Personally ive had nothing but issues when ordering stuff from Heavy Throttle. Enjuku on the other hand is awesome. Prices are decent to average and you get quality.

Intresting What did you have issues with customer service or not recieving stuff on time? I have also heard great things about Enjuku.

Cool, thanks you guys. I got a lot more information that I expected so I think this should help out. The swaps gonna have to come after the brakes though, the guy i bought the car from neglected to tell me a few important details and somehow cleverly hid them from me when I was driving it... So we'll see how it goes.

Yeah, definitely redo the brakes (preferably an upgrade to Q45, J30, or Z32 brakes) and suspension before you put in the SR if at all possible.

I would also support the brakes first. And maybe some suspension. I always wanted coilovers but i realized my car is a street car that is daily driven. Yea coilovers would be awesome, but im just going to get some KYB's and matching springs and call it a day. Spend the rest of the money on a LSD and maybe some roll bars. As for brakes I plan on doing the Q brakes they should be more than adequate and a much better improvement over stock. I wanted to go the Z32 route but then i realized my pure intentions for the car and its just not necessary to go with them. Im becoming wiser and more concerned with function and practicality. And as always you can have the biggest brakes in the world but if your running crap tires, well then you just wasted $$. Im trying to say be honest with your needs and youll have a lot more fun with your car Good luck my friend

I was given one piece of advise when I started my SR build which helped me out a lot. I read on one of the boards that you should have at least $1k extra for misc. crap that comes up. That $1k extra paid for a bent oil pan (like homeslice said), ignitor chip, and a fubared TB...so you might want to do that.I've also done some business with HT, Enjuku, P2MT, and Hybridynamics and they were all great places to me. Had a shipment problem with Hybrid but they were still good guys with good advise. Good luck on your build and remember not to cut corners, you'll pay in the end if you do that

(i put roughly $10k into my S14 swap...on upgrades and engine of course)
