correct way to bid new front brake pads

I don't need rotors check the min specs, so if I rough them up and install new ceramic pads how do I break them in the right way?

1) Install new brake pads
2) Drive the car using the brake pedal to stop

Ditto. They only pads I've seen that require bedding are EBC. You could use their steps as a guideline if you'd feel more comfortable doing a break-in period:
